Behaviours – Values Toolbox

The behaviours and values that shape the organization

The strategic choices made by an organization are closely tied to its behaviours and values. The behaviors and values map will help you identify the current ones in your organization by retracing what you see and experience in your day-to-day work.

This is an activity that will allow your team to consider and outline what elements define their corporate culture and how these can be used to strengthen their strategy. Identifying Values and Behaviours is an activity propedeutical to defining your Purpose, whether personal or of your organisation.

How to use the Behaviours – Values Toolbox

1. First Step
Identify which behaviours and character traits of a group are the reason for its success with its stakeholders using the Behaviours Canvas. Work in group and ask everyone to declare and explain to others team members the fundamental behaviours that characterise the organisation in its operations.
2. Second Step
Use the Values Canvas and define in groups the main behaviors that characterize your organization. Once you have grouped them for consistency, extract from the selected groups of behaviors what values fuel them.
